BEVERLY HILLS, CA -- Guy & Pip, together again? Yes, they are. At least in the forthcoming concert, with the same title, slated for January 26, 8 P.M., at the K.L. Peters Auditorium, located at 241 Moreno Drive here.

As everyone knows, Guy is the Philippines' Superstar Nora Aunor, and Pip is Tirso Cruz III, whom I had the privilege of playing tennis with in Glendale, California in his past visits. Pip is expected to arrive from the Philippines in time for the January 26 concert, while Guy and our group had a strengthening bonding relationship over the year end and New Year in Las Vegas, Nevada in the beautiful house of our common friend, Marijo Lysing.

Rillia Pax of Pax Investments, Inc. is the producer of the Beverly Hills concert, that also gives the opportunity for the following to share the limelight with the superstar: John Robert Porter, Jojit Paredes, Bernardo Bernardo, Edsel Sotiangco, Joseph Gelito, Sheila Ferrari, Christi Santana and Lianna Gutierrez.

JOHNNY PECAYO, Publisher of the MANILA-U.S. TIMES, with Nora Aunor, President of the Nora Aunor Foundation. Shot was taken January 7 after dinner with the Philippine Superstar at the Kabuki Sushi Restaurant in Northridge, California.

Another Concert:

Nora C. Villamayor in real life, Guy will have another concert at the Oxnard PACC, 800 Hobson Way, Oxnard, CA 93030, at 7 P.M. on February 16.

The concert in Oxnard is being held in cooperation with International Cultural Association of California, headed by Ped Bucao, president.

"I am optimistic that my loyal fans and new fans in the U.S. would support me by actually coming and watching either of these two shows, or both," Nora Aunor told the MANILA-U.S. TIMES after the January 7 dinner at the Kabuki Sushi Restaurant in Northridge, California, hosted by Composer and Lyricist, Bing Pimentel, who is set to compose another song for Nora, aptly titled, "Bakit Kaya?". "Itay" was the title of the previous song composed by Ms. Pimentel and recorded and popularized by Nora.

"I am glad that, after so long a time, Pip and I will be together again, which I am sure will bring back nostalgic memories to thousands of our fans, now scattered all over the world," Nora continued.

Huge Project Forthcoming

A nationwide (Philippines) project, a brainchild of Ms. Pimentel, discussed and agreed upon earlier with the MANILA-U.S. TIMES publisher and editor-in-chief, and would be launched soon, and would certainly be Nora's legacy for her fans and supporters and the world's music lovers. Details would be divulged to public shortly.

Cleared of Drug Charges

It would be of interest to note that the Philippines' pride and its only Superstar, Nora Aunor, had recently been completely cleared of the drug case, when Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James R. Dabney declared in the open court that her case was dismissed, "as if you have not been convicted. You are 99.9 per cent clean," the judge told Aunor.

(Thank you, Lord, and the heavy load had finally been off my shoulders, and I am also thankful to my relatives, friends and fans for supporting me all the way, with prayers every moment of this exhilarating experience.")

Throughout her successful career, punctuated by unnecessary humps and negativities, Nora has always been humble, soft spoken, and never forgets to say po and opo as a sign of respect to people she converses with and, above all, always pinning her hopes in God with undivided love, faith and loyalty.
