Pacquiao started his boxing career fighting in small venues in the Philippines. His early fights were aired only on local TV. But, Pacquiao's big break came when he defeated a legendary boxer on Nov. 15, 2003... a boxer idolized by many in his country of Mexico and has since beaten many fierce warriors that stood in his way. Pacquiao sent this iconic slugger to the canvas via TKO in the 11th round at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

This figher was Marco Antonio Barrera.

More than four years have passed since that exciting clash of fists. Pacquiao, fresh off a win from Mexican boxing greats Jorge Solis and Erik Morales, is more than ready to knockout his opponent once again. He is in his prime and is considered one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world today.

Yet, Barrera has been training hard to extract his revenge on the Pinoy boxing hero. He will not allow defeat to happen again. Barrera is hungry for a win against Pacquiao. He is considering this match to be his last... and will want to go out with a victory.

Manny or Marco? Philippines or Mexico? The excitement is building, the crowds are cheering and the world is preparing for the ultimate battle of strength, will, and heart. Pacquiao vs. Barrera II - THE WILL TO WIN!

Ana Julaton:

Also debuting October 6, 2007 is San Francisco's Fil-Am Ana "The Hurricane" Julaton and Filipino featherweight prospect Michael Farenas have expressed readiness to do their best when they clash against separate opponents in the undercard of today's "Will to Win" card at the Mandalay Bay Events Center here.

The same can not be said, however, of the third Filipino on the undercard, LA-based Vernie Torres who was grossly overweight at yesterday's weigh-in and seemed undisturbed by it.

Julaton, the most decorated Filipina in the history of US amateur boxing, will take on Hondi Hernandez (4-1, 2 KO's) of Arizona in a four-round superbantamweight bout.

Renowned trainer Freddie Roach will be at Julaton's corner in her professional debut.
