The Fil-Am Lions Club of Los Angeles chartered on January 1884, is a local club of Lions Club International, who meet the needs of the community and the world. Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 200 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities and the world. These Lions conduct vision and health screenings, build parks, support eye hospitals, award scholarships, assist youth, provide help in time of disasters and much more.
In the beginning of a new leadership, the Fil-Am Lions Club will be having it’s installation of officers and inaugural ball at the Odyssey Restaurant in Granada Hills, CA on September 14, 2007. Vic Mercado will be the incoming President.
