Eli Manning threw two touchdown passes for the Giants, including a 13-yard toss to Plaxico Burress with 35 seconds remaining in the National Football League's championship game winning the Superbowl. Los Angeles: Disneyland is making preparations for Monday, February 4, 2008 for the "What's Next" athlete from Super bowl XLII that will participate in a series of events at Disneyland Park from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. including a parade with local Pop Warner football players and various activities in Disneyland Dream Suite, an in-park apartment originally designed for Walt Disney himself. It is on top of Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
The athlete will be determined after the conclusion of Super Bowl XLII, with the New York Giants beating the New England Patriots, a day that was supposed to be reserved for 19-0 in favor of the Patriots which turned into a Giant upset, as New York stunned New England to win Super Bowl XLII. Trailing late into the fourth quarter, Eli Manning drove the Giants 83 yards down the field, and tossed the game-winning touchdown pass to Plaxico Burress with 35 seconds left in the Super Bowl. Manning was named MVP of the game after going 19-of-34 for 255 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
