45 million Pinoys set to vote in national and local elections
About 45 million registered Filipino voters are due to cast their ballots at the polling precincts as the 2007 national and local elections, ABS-CBN News reported.
Nearly 87,000 candidates are vying for 17,000 national and local positions in this year’s polls, which could dictate the national government’s direction until the 2010 presidential election.
All 265 House of Representatives seats and half of the 24 Senate seats are also being contested.
